El evento busca premiar los videojuegos más importantes y reconocidos de 2016.

The Game Awards por fin anunció la lista de candidatos a los mejores juegos del año. Más de 60 juegos competirán entre sí en distintas categorías para determinar lo mejor que ha ofrecido la industria este año. Aunque Sony, Blizzard Entertainment y Bethesda lideran el listado, empresas más pequeñas como Playdead y Campo Santo han sorprendido a muchos entrando en la competencia.

El juego más destacado de esta entrega es Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, que posee ocho nominaciones. Los inmediatos perseguidores del título desarrollado por Naughty Dog son INSIDE, Firewatch y Overwatch, cada uno con cinco nominaciones.
